In 2007, Italian siblings Giulia and Aldo Acchiardi moved to London where they found the inspiration for their clothing collection, Harris Wharf London, which launched in 2010. The brother and sister, who come from a family history of textile craftmanship and innovation, design their collections in Turin using exclusively sustainable, high-quality, Italian fabrics. Their styles – which are minimal and understated – are designed to be trans-seasonal, ensuring they can be worn for many years thanks to the longevity of their chosen materials. What’s more, the brand keeps fabric waste to an absolute minimum by using digital cutting to avoid unnecessary remnants and sends whatever leftover material is produced to a consortium to be recycled into new yarn.
